Dog with bird
After passing the statue, (photo posted yesterday of the Fox and Ducks) the next statue seen along the walk is this one. I'm not sure if it's a fox or not, and am unsure if the bird is a duck or a partridge (there's not a pear tree in sight!). What do you all think? Is it a dog or a fox, and what kind of bird does it look like to you?

Looks like pheasant, or wild peacock (perhaps they were once multitudinous--is there a word like that?--in Wichita) and the fox/dog question... I'm guessing it's fox. It's very interesting because it's not like other public sculptures where they might be of famous people on a bench and you get to sit next to them, and have your photo taken...
Wendy, I think it might be either a woolf? I thought a fox is a bit lower in hight? The bird is a (dutch name) 'Fazant' , they live in the dunes and are goldbrown coloured , (I think...)
By the end of this week we will leave for holidays, so I will post until wednesday, also my comments, 'have a break' so than you know why I am not commenting OK?

Certainly looks like a duck to me! :o) Not sure about the fox though! I would love to see what the full scene is with this! :o)
it looks like a fox to me coz of its height ..i may be wrong though. Wendy, I just went through the sculptures you have put here and loved them all.....what an interesting city to live in....thanx for dropping my blog....:)

Me thinks its a fox too maybe catching the partridge that flew to the top of the newspaper rack in the last post.

Interesting sculpture! I'd have to say it looks like a fox and a partridge. If it were a duck, would it have a bill instead of a beak? I dunno. I'm a city girl.
There's a story line in this sculpture and the previous one. And you got us all interested in telling it.
