Face of a tree

Someone saw the opportunity to carve a face in this tree.
I think it adds character, it's decent, and non offensive.
I've heard the term: defacing public property,
What would this be called, "facing" public property?
All I know is - I was facing, the face, that defaced this tree , as I snapped the photo.

You just gotta get me started on this, do you? :) Recently in Singapore, people discovered trees with monkey faces and everyone started to swarm the area, offering their prayers.

You see, Singapore is a highly superstitious country and people believe that monkeys bear special powers so this to them, was a miracle...that the tree actually showed monkey faces.

It was then revealed by botanic experts that the trees are merely shedding their bark, and it was purely a coincidence.

Thank you for the cool pictures of Wichita! I like the picture of the smiling tree :-)
I'd love to see more pictures of Wichita city center, its main (historic) monuments and the landscape outside the city.
Keep up the good work!

Clever and I like your play on words. I guess the face is defacing but it does add character.

Highly creative evidence abounds here, on several fronts--the carver of the face, the photographer of the face, and the writer about the face. Thanks for sharing what you found with all of us.

Looks kinda cool, I have a photo somewhere of a painted face on a birch tree, but I like this one better.
