Walking over traffic

This walkway turns a corner and crosses a second street. When I see it, I recall the days when shoppers would walk from the parking garage, that was connected by this walkway, to Macy's Department Store.

This is quite interesting. Have you walked in it yourself?

I used to park in Macy's garage all the time. I loved driving down from the top! Used the walkways all the time too. Macy's had the nicest restrooms. They had a large lounge in it. You had to walk through the glasswares to get to it. One of my best friends always said she felt like breaking all the glass pieces just to hear them break. We had to keep an eye on her. :)

In answer to Lynette's "Walkway" question, yes, I've walked through the walkway many times. Sometimes pushing a baby stroller, carrying a diaper bag, and purse -- and shopping bags too, on the return trip to the car. It was very convenient to not have to cross busy streets with all that in tow. And, my children, when small enjoyed the walk over, too.

And, to Moonshadow: I enjoyed reading your Macy's memories. I especially liked to shop in their bargain basement, could get some great bath towels for $1.25, and all because they had slight imperfections. I also bought me a pair of waffle stompers at Macy's. Remember those? Left footprints in the snow that looked like a waffle had walked by.

Nice looking walkways and so much safer, especially with your hands full. I like the curve you captured in this shot.
