Here he's hanging a cast iron dutch oven over the campfire. I wonder what's inside. Probably nothing, it's probably just for show. But, in the old days, many a pot of; beans, chilli, stew, and other dishes, would of been cooked over an open fire.
Nice shots of the chuckwagon and the fire. I would have been nice if there were beans in that pot. Baked beans with bacon and a bit of maple syrup are fantastic especially when cooked over an open fire.
Thanks for visiting my NorthBayPhoto blog. I agree with your comment about it's nice to view the area from above to get a different perspective.

Were you full of beans?!!
I have a dutch oven, but I've never used it like that. :)
I was thinking beans. On the fire they taste good.
I posted a photo of deer today, at least my version. The only one's I could get. And, some snow on my personal blog.

I'm voting for chicken and dumplings. I want him to be making something I want to eat for dinner today.
How cool is that. I totally want to try that outside cooking thing. Although, I don't cook worth a busted spur indoors...
Thanks,
Wayne
