Bridge sails!

These sails decorate two bridges near downtown Wichita. One is the Douglas bridge and the other (this one) is the Lewis St bridge (near the boathouse). It's fitting that even though there's no coastal property in Kansas - there are sails, a sailboat, and a boathouse along the river.

See the moon?

I like that something thats really not very large or imposing can make a bridge look like something else. I think these sails are wonderful looking.

I think this is some of the prettier artwork that the city has done. If the "Fans" had been place in a more open area like this, I might think more of them. Have you taken any pictures of the fans? Is it possible to get good pictures of them because of their placement?

Lovely designs - I'd never have thought of these as on a bridge.
