A day of play

This friendly and playful black lab, strayed over to my place, where he (or she) got a meal of dog chow, and cared for until, her owner could be found. They've since been reunited. I don't do this for every stray dog, but this one had an exceptionally friendly personality. I fell in like with her (or him) right away. Here she (or he) is bringing back the tennis ball, during a game of fetch.

I do visit and I do comment and I was here. I did look at your picture(s) and I did read what you wrote about them. I could say how great you are and how beautiful your work is but alas I would soon run out of things to say on the next blog I visited, so I just left this to prove I stopped and said a few words on Sunday.

My Rheumatoid Arthritis hurts so I am using the same message for all.

Black Labs have got to be one of the nicest friendliest kind of dogs. I'm glad this one was happily re-united with its owner.

You've got heart, Wendy. Both the dog and I know that for sure. Annie in Little Rock

Nice to see you Annie - your kind words brought tears to my eyes, but they were good tears, and I'm smiling. Thanks for visiting.

Black Labs ar like that, Wendy. They have personality. Years ago when I was still living at home my brother and I had been to a movie when a black lab approached us in the parking lot. It followed us to the car and I begged my brother to let me take it home. I called the radio stations and newspaper and advertised it being found. Some people came to see if he was their's but no one ended up claiming him. He was unique in that he "smiled". When excited he'd tilt his head and bare his teeth on one side of his mouth. This would kind of scare some people. But he wasn't growling, his tail would be wagging away.
