Museums on the River

This is a decorative wall near the area of several Wichita museums.
It has the etching of the Arkansas river on it.
If you live anywhere but Kansas - this river is pronounced as "Are-Kan-Saw". But, in Kansas it is pronounced as "Are-Kansas". Interesting how the state you live in "Kan" make a difference in the pronunciation of a river that runs through it.

Sounds like the city is really trying to market the river area museums. I haven't been back to Wichita in more than 30 years. I can wait to plan a trip to see how things have changed
