Railroad Bridge
This is the old Railway Bridge I wanted to photograph.
It's located about a block or two, east of the John Mack Bridge posted on theme day.
I like this bridge so much, I dared to venture past the beer bottle and graffiti to share it with all of you. Luckilly, there were no drinkers or painters to be seen, it was a nice and quiet day by the river.

Looks the wandering past the beer bottle and graffiti was worth it. I remember seeing a lot of those bridges growing up.

It was totally worth the wait. That is a very photogenic bridge!
It is a very handsome bridge and is it still in use. Seeing an old steam engine puffing out a cloud of black smoke crossing the would be spectacular. But it is still nice and the look at it brings back those kinds of memories.
I played under this bridge as a child. I hesitate to go there now of course, the graffiti and trash scares me off.
Love the pictures. I lived in Wichita from 37-61 West High Grad. Remember the Minisa bridge and the island. In the 50's there was a grass tepee type on that island. It was set on fire once and then rebuilt.
I also remember Kellogg going up over the railroad tracks and the Train "Roundhouse"
