Young Immigrant

I don't recall seeing a sign by this statue, and so I'm calling it a young immigrant. It looks like this young man is new to America, and has everything he owns in the bag. Why has he left his homeland, and where will his hopes and dreams take him?

Are you sure that's not a long haired dog he's walking?

He has come for adventure and I'll bet he found it, too. Maybe he went made his way to the west and broke horses, learned to cook on a campfire, panned for gold . . . gave birth to my ancestors even.

Definitely a European immigrant; it's a wonderful statue with the possibility of multiple stories.

A great capture there.

The statue has a momentum going there

I love the way a cold, metal statue can give us such a warm and touching story. I like your's Wendy, and I like what Annie said too. How many stories could be told of this young man.
Merry Christmas dear friend!

This reminds me of a huge billboard in Canada which showed the picture
of Einstein and read:
Immigrants don't always come with bags and baggages.
