Light and shadows

I like the layers and lattice of shadows in this photo.
I just know, one of these months the theme will be benches,
and my best bench shots will have already been posted.

I found this poem on line at www.poetryamerica.com and thought of our childhood days.

Happy Valentine's Day, Wendy.

In Grandmother's Field
© By Carrie

In Grandmother’s field
Where I would play
The child’s sweet laughter swept away
Underneath each blade of grass there lies
Footsteps where a child passed by
And loved each leaf and felt each breeze
And savored each apple from the tree
How could one love a field you ask?
Memories so thick they will not pass
Of running playing endlessly
Never wanting to be anyone but me
I miss it now I loved it so
To enjoy nature I’ll never know
How lucky was I that time that place
In Grandmother’s field
The child’s sweet face.
